The international martial arts festival aims to socialize the martial artists by bringing together all practitioners from Malaysia and international. Through this festival, the community can get to know the movements, methods, looks and forms of different aspects of arts, martial movements, culture, and traditions. Therefore, the organizers will hold various forms of events such as performances, competitions, exhibitions, seminars and so on to produce a positive impact on Malaysian martial arts particularly on culture and tourism sectors.
The festival will be held by PSGFM in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and partnership with International Centre of Martial Arts for Youth Development and Engagement under the auspices of UNESCO (UNESCO – ICM), and Malaysia Martial Arts Federation (MMF). The activities of the festival in which there are gatherings, martial arts performances, competitions, exhibitions, seminars, and traditional local food stalls.
The organizing committee aware the program is in line with the Global Challenge for Government Transparency: The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2030 Agenda by UNESCO. The festival will uphold the SDG 2030 particularly on the agenda 3 of Establishing Good Health and Well-Being, Agenda 4 of Providing Quality Education, Agenda 5 of Enforcing Gender Equality, Agenda 16 of Guarantee Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions and Agenda 17 of Build Partnership for the Goals.
This is also in line with Twelfth Malaysian Plan (RMK12) of Developing Future Talent on Strategy B1 of Raising the Quality of Education and Enhancing Défense, Security and Wellbeing and Unity on Priority Area D of Leveraging Sports in Building an Active Nation especially on Strategy D1 of Promoting Sports for Active and Healthy Lifestyles, Strategy D2 of Enhancing Sports Excellence and Strategy D3 of Developing Sports Industry.
